Or maybe it should. It depends how interested you are in the games. Some of us don’t feel that the games should exist at all or even be going ahead this year due to the political aspect related to the host nation China.
Regardless we should all be allowed to follow events etc during our working day provided we get the work done in my opinion. It provides employees with a sense of reward. Do a report, then take a break to surf the web etc and then get back to work. Gone are the days of the 11am tee break and then lunch hour. Employers need to be flexible in today’s world. After all we can work 10 times as fast with email and the web!
The beauty of on line media and television means that we can follow the games as much as we want despite the time difference and vast array of events. Just make sure you do not get caught reading about it at your desk! ;-)
